Dominical, the quintessential laid back surf town, is located south of San José on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is the northern gateway to the Zona Sur and Costa Ballena areas and is well situated for exploring the southern Pacific Coast. Dominical is an easy 3-hour drive from the international airport via new coastal route highways or a fascinating 4-hour drive from San José over the mountains on the Inter-American Highway route. It is also possible to fly from San José into either Quepos or Palmar on a regional airline, and then rent a car for a shorter drive to Dominical and Villa Bahá.

Villa Bahá is located in Lagunas de Barú, 10 minutes north of Dominical. The villa and its gardens sit on 11 private acres of jungled ridge overlooking the Pacific ocean.
